Farage Thanet Fury. Wheels Falling Off UKIPs Bus

I guess it was inevitable things would kick off. UKIP seem to be upsetting everyone. Their support for hunting is annoying many people. Their homophobic views are stirring up the LGBT community. Farage's comments on women in the workplace having less value than men and their incessant scapegoating of immigrants for all that is wrong in this country   is beginning to backfire.  I went  to take a look at the demo today. Some very angry people were there. Here is my film.
I suspect the wheels might be beginning to fall of Nigel's bus.

  1. One meeting in Thanet behind closed doors some 8 months after the election for Farage (and 2 years after his last meeting in Broadstairs) and Latchford at KCC silent doesn't really say much for UKIP. Just elderly Conservatives and NF who have had a brief moment and will be gone at the next election.

    1. I think it is wistful thinking by those in the main parties to suggest UKIP are a spent force. The presence of a few protestors in Cliftonville is hardly evidence of a loss of public confidence and the gay community are not going to swing an election either way, a mistake David Cameron has already made to his party's electoral cost. No, I do not support their politics or some of the extremists they attract, but their messages on Europe and immigration go down well with public opinion. I still think they will do well in the EU election this year, but 2015 is another matter when the more serious state of the nation issues are at stake. One can but hope the bubble has burst by then.

  2. The opinion polls suggest otherwise. The wheels on the bus are gathering momentum quite nicely.

  3. Don't think you do yourself or the Green Party any good involving yourself & publicising the thuggery & totally undemocratic intimidation of a democratically elected MEP, by Thanet Socialist Wokers Party members a far left organisation which has been criticised recently for their cover up of a woman members rape by a SWP official. You really are scrapping the bottom of the barrel & I expect you won't have the courage to publish my comments.

    1. The fact that I have filmed and posted about the demonstration in no way indicates that I approve of what happened. My position has always been clear I do not condone violence, but I do support the right to demonstrate. I did actually speak with some of the SWP people. They told me that they were no longer members of the organisation precisely because of the sexual assault and the cover up. As to scraping the bottom the barrel I think it would be fair to say that a Party leader who believed that women in workplace are worth less than men and a party with members who attribute floods to gays and lesbians, use terminology like bongo bongo land and send incredible racist hate mails to me - might be scraping the bottom of the barrel

  4. Same dozen "protest against everything" faces. What a shame they seek to quash the democracy they claim to love by attempting to intimidate someone they disagree with, i suspect the irony will be lost on them.

  5. What disgusting behaviour from that braying mob attacking Nigel Farage!
I neither like nor dislike the man and his party as they are irrelevant. But I deplore the conduct of the local rent-a-mob shower ... surely THESE are the swivel eyed loons that we were told about a few months ago.

  6. I hope they stay around for awhile....how refreshing to have someone as outspoken as Farage instead of all the other stuffed numptys.....

  7. I doubt the wheels will fall off Nigel's bus. What we saw, oh chinless wonder, was an attack on a democratic party by an assortment of glue-sniffing scum. So far, the folks I have talked to found the demo a prime example of why they DIDN'T vote, and why they will now vote UKIP.
    Nice try, but no cigar.

    1. Oh how sad and small spirited Ukip's voice is. Where does the name FARAGE come from it certainly is not English, Scottish or Irish. No his ancestors come from Europe or to be more precise Germany. How does the Ukip leader justify his anti immigrant policy in the face of his foreign background.

  8. Absolutely disgusting, and I am feeling very unsettled that a Green Councillor decided to not only film, but Publish this insulting anti Social behaviour directed at a Political Party Leader.
I look forward to the 2015 General Election, when a total surprise for Greens, LibDems, Labour, and Conservative, will occur. They will all be heading for their self imposed Political 'Black Hole'. Many of them never to rise again!
